This week The Camera Map got a tour of CVP’s new Creative Experience building in Soho, designed to allow “visitors to identify a technical solution that will deliver on their creative vision”. The townhouse forms a unique showroom in Newman Street, London, containing five floors of production equipment from leading manufacturers, including ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, Zeiss, Panasonic, Blackmagic Design and more.

Jon Fry, CVP’s Sales Director, said “The concept behind the Newman Street facility is to provide visitors with an engaging, personalised experience in an environment designed to connect creative vision and technology. This permanent display of equipment is a playground where people can come to see, handle and test every single bit of kit required to bring their project to life.”

The Creative Experience building joins another CVP collaborative showcase in Soho, the CVP & ARRI Creative Space on Charlotte Street. This showroom, opened earlier this year, presents the latest ARRI technology including the brand new ALEXA LF and signature primes.

With a third venture opening soon in Soho, Jon talked of an impressive ‘camera triangle’ that will allow film and broadcast creatives a wealth of hands-on experience, events and technical advice all within a few minutes’ walk.
